Lamu town (30 x 60 cm)
Vanochtend werd voor Lamu Town het anker van de dhow (traditionele zeilboot) uitgegooid, zodat we vanaf het water de stad konden schilderen. Omar, de kapitein, probeerde met alle middelen om het schip op een vaste plek te houden, wat niet meeviel vanwege de sterke stroming.
This morning, in front of Lamu Town the anchor of the dhow (traditional sailboat) was thrown out so that we could paint the city from the water. Omar, the captain, tried by all means to keep the ship in a permanent location, which was difficult because of the strong current.
Omar probeert ons te beschermen tegen de zon. (Omar tries to protect us against to much sun.)
