Waarom is het zo moeilijk om blauw te fotograferen? Kleuren op een foto zijn altijd anders, maar een kleur blauw op een foto lijkt vaak in de verste verte niet op de kleur blauw op een schilderij. En ik schilder nogal veel in blauwen en grijs-blauwen. Dit schilderij is in werkelijkheid donkerder. Hieronder een andere poging. Véél te grijs.

Why is it so difficult to photograph blue? All colours in a picture are different from reality, but a blue colour on a picture doesn’t come near the colour blue in the painting. And I paint quite a lot in blues and gray-blue. This painting is actually darker. Here another attempt. Way too gray.
